¡Hola, I'm Lu!

I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico.

I’ve believed in Jesus since childhood, but my faith became real in my teen years. During a very challenging season at age 14, I gave my life to Jesus, decided to follow Him, and started a personal relationship with Him. Never looked back!

While living in Monterrey, through missions, I met my best friend Neal. We married in 2005, and after our honeymoon, we moved to McKinney, Texas; where we’ve lived since. Neal and I are blessed with an athletic 16-year-old son, Hyan, and a creative 21-year-old adopted nephew, Nahum. 

In 2006, Neal and I helped start the Spanish Campus Christ Fellowship Español at Christ Fellowship McKinney, and the One Church Two Languages concept was born! 

Neal and I love our healthy, multiethnic, and multigenerational church! Over the years, we’ve served in many areas, including facilitating a Multicultural study group, leading many mission trips, and preaching in both languages. Neal also serves on the Elder board. 

I’m in my second year of a Master of Divinity program at Fuller Theological Seminary. I desire to keep learning and growing in my faith and help others to do the same. 

I want to help as many people as possible to find and follow Jesus Christ and, by following him, experience the abundant life He offers!
